Into The Void Plant Your Banner

I recently listened to a very insightful interview with the composer/bass player Dave Holland on Artistworks. He spoke about his first experiences of playing with Miles Davis and how quote from a book on Sufism, 'plant your banner firmly in the desert' helped him to be more individual and state himself in the music. Inspired by Dave's reasoning and dedication to finding himself within the music I wrote these two tunes.
